This Sparta, NJ kitchen is located within a residence. One of the challenges of the space was integrating a functional kitchen hood into an architectural element in the ceiling. Here, the hood is situated over the cooktop, which is part of the kitchen island.
The island table is a natural wood veneer with heat treated oak in 2.5 inch thick panels. The countertop is a natural granite with leather finish. A two-inch thick mitered edge with waterfall elements on the island create a piece that is both aesthetically stunning and is also highly functional.
The kitchen table was custom ordered for the space in a finish that matches the rest of the kitchen, drawing the independent dining area into the finished kitchen to create a cohesive space.
