Kitchen Design Consultation

The designers at Modiani Kitchens have used their years of experience in kitchen cabinet installation to develop their kitchen design process. The Modiani design process ensures smooth transitions between phases of a project for both the client and the designer.
Step 1:
To begin the design process at Modiani, clients call the Modiani kitchen showroom to make an appointment for an initial consultation. Walk-ins are always welcome.
Step 2:
The initial consultation is held at the beautiful Modiani kitchen cabinet showroom in downtown Englewood, NJ. This is an open discussion between the client and one of Modiani’s expert kitchen designers. Clients are encouraged to come to the initial consultation with floor plans, dimensions, and sketches of ideas (wish list) that the client has for new kitchen cabinetry and fixtures. In the consultation, the client learns about the kitchen cabinet variety and design options for the project. The client is given a general price impression in this meeting.

Step 3:
Following the initial consultation, the kitchen design experts at Modiani will create a proposal for the client that includes the kitchens cabinets, countertop price ranges, delivery and installation.

Step 4:
The client reviews and approves the proposal. Approval of the proposal begins the actual designing process.
Step 5:
With the proposal approved, the designer now travels to the client’s house and takes dimensions and measurements, which are used to create 3D renderings of the kitchen design floor plan.
Step 6:
Once these 3D renderings are approved the Modiani technical team will provide a new set of professional shop drawings (floor plans and elevations) using AUTOCAD , which will serve both the architect and builder during the design and installation process. After the shop drawings are finalized both the designer and client will sign off on them, and the kitchen cabinets will be placed on order.
Step 7:
Kitchen cabinet production takes between five and fourteen weeks depending on the kitchen design complexity. Estimated delivery also depends on where the kitchen cabinets are manufactured – Cesar is manufactured in Italy while Rutt and Modiani custom are manufactured in the United States.
Step 8:
Installation is scheduled. The expert kitchen cabinet installers at Modiani are able to tell the client precisely when the kitchen cabinet materials are to be delivered, and installation is scheduled for one to two days after scheduled delivery.
Step 9:
Installation takes between two days and two weeks depending on the scope of the kitchen makeover project. Countertop installation shall take place 2 weeks after templating.
